The German-Ukrainian classical guitarist Ihor Kordiuk was born in 1992, beginning his guitar studies at the age of 10. His musical abilities were evident from his 1st guitar lesson. In just a few years, Ihor became a prize winner in regional competitions for classical guitar and musicology.
In 2015, he successfully completed his studies at the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University and the National Kotljarewski University of Arts in Kharkiv (studying classical guitar under Professor Konstantin Chechenya and Professor Vladimir Dotsenko), earning a Master's Degree and Specialist Degree in Music Art.
That same year, he earned a scholarship from the DAAD Fund, giving him the ability to continue his education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich specializing in classical guitar under Professor Franz Halàsz.
Biography
During his studies, Ihor had the privilege of attending master classes with great interpreters of our time, such as Hubert Käppel, Tilman Hoppstock (Germany), Rafael Aguirre, Javier Conde (Spain), Christian Saggese, Maurizio Grandinetti (Italy), Marco Tomayo (Cuba), Evangelina Mascardi (Argentina), Alvaro Pierri (Uruguay).
In 2018, he successfully graduated from the University of Music in Munich. The work of his Master's thesis was a CD project titled "La Chitarra di Verdi. Opera Review."
Mr. Kordiuk received 10 awards from prestigious international guitar competitions in Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus. The 1st prize was awarded in 2016 at the guitar competition in Bologna.
He performed in over 100 concerts worldwide. Currently, he is performing as a solo artist and with the Italian baritone Daniel di Prinzio.
Since 2018, Mr. Kordiuk has also been teaching as a guitar teacher at the Städtische Simon-Mayr Sing- und Musikschule Ingolstadt.
In 2020, Mr. Kordiuk founded the “Kordiuk Guitar Platform," where he conducted joint projects with outstanding guitarists such as Tilman Hoppstock, Marcin Dylla, Angelo Gilardino, Marko Topchii, among others.
Since 2023, Mr. Kordiuk has been the artistic director of the Guitar Festival in Ingolstadt, home to guitar concerts, masterclasses, lectures, presentations, and guitar exhibitions.

In 2020, Ihor Kordiuk began performing with the Italian baritone Daniel Di Prinzio, immersing the audience in a world full of deep emotion using the combination of classical guitar and human voice.
The result of their collaboration was the release of the album Profumi Di Napoli under the Swiss label Prospero Classical in 2024.
It consists of a selection of traditional Neapolitan songs merged with Mauro Giuliani’s solo guitar cycle Selection of my Favourite Flowers, Op. 46. Such a compilation is unique.
A disc with 21 tracks and a 40-page hardcover booklet.

Ihor Kordiuk recorded 11 joint films with outstanding musicians, composers, and professors in the field of classical guitar, in which they talk about their life paths and share their professional experiences
These musicians include Thibault Garcia, Andrea De Vitis, Marcin Dylla, Lukasz Kuropaczewski, Franz Halasz, Angelo Gilardino, Evangelina Mascardi, Stefan Schmidt Tilman Hoppstock, Roman Viazovskiy, and Marko Topchii.
